At the age of three, K'nera's world was turned upside down. All the honour of her Father had been stripped away leaving her and her mother broke and honourless on the homeworld of Q'onoS. Her Father; once a mighty warrior and respected member of the High Council, fled their home leaving his wife and daughter to fend for themselves after he had been found to be a Romulan collaborator. K'nera lived on the edge of town in a shack with her mother. They did anything they could to survive but when her mother was struck down with illness and buried unceremoniously K'nera snapped. As she watched her mother being buried in the ground she swore a blood oath that she would redeem her mothers honour and help her spirit ascend into Sto-Vo-Kor by killing her Father and bringing his head back to Q'onoS.

K'nera sold everything that she owned with the exception of her family's armour and a few blades that her Father left. She managed to buy herself passage to Romulus which is where he Fathers last known whereabouts were. Upon reaching Romulus she was arrested and questioned about her intentions on the Romulan homeworld. She insisted that her Father was there and she needed to see him, upon hearing her Fathers name a message was sent to him. He arrived very ceremoniously and spent two hours talking with her in the cell that she slept in, blood was drawn from both and her claim was found to be truth. After spending three months in a Romulan prison she was released into the custody of her Father. Her armour and blades were given back to her and she was taught the way of Romulans. Her heart grew hard with anger and hatred as she watched her Father receive gifts and recognition from her enemies.

K'nera bided her time and watched for opportunities to present themselves; she had been found trustworthy and was soon left to her Father's house. She had found a worse target for her hatred in the home that her Father shared with his Romulan whore of a wife and their son who was a year older than herself. The thought of her mother being mistreated in such a way, to have her Father be married to another, an enemy, before his marriage to a good upstanding woman bore hard on her. Every night she prayed that Khaless would guide her to victory and every day she learned more about the enemies she shared a house with. On her 17th birthday her Father had made the announcement that he had in fact given a Romulan named Koval, a Proconsul in the Romulan senate, permission to court his daughter and join his celebrated family. K'nera staved off his attempts to mate with her until she was 18. After learning all she could about her enemies she formulated a plan of attack.

On the morning of her 18th birthday K'nera woke early, the time had come to release her mother's pained soul into the rest of Sto-vo-kor. She executed the members of the house one by one, silently, with her brother and stepmother's head resting in a bag she slipped into her Fathers office; he was busy so he did not see her remove the dk'tahg from its stand on the shelf behind him. She had looked at the crest of the once great and now betrayed family, anger rose up out of the depths of her heart. K'nera prayed silently as she turned around and raised the knife. All the years of pain and bitterness were silenced as she heard the sound of death. She sliced off her Fathers head and stuck his own knife through the top of it; she then put the head into the bag. She had managed to buy an old ship from one of her late brother's friends; she stored the bag in the cargo hold of the small craft. She washed and dressed then called her intended, she invited him into the house that was now eerily empty, he had asked no questions about her family being gone, and her father had already promised that one night no one would interfere in Koval's plans. After dinner he drew her close, his lips met hers and he soon felt a sharp pain shoot up his back, she watched as his eyes rolled back, he slumped over and she soon added his head to her collection. She snuck out and left Romulus without anyone knowing what had happened. As she was leaving the system she heard subspace fill with the bewildered cries of Romulans looking for a murderer.

K'nera arrived on Q’onoS with only minor problems, she had been attacked upon arrival in Klingon space, she shut down her engines and had allowed them to take her home. Upon arrival she sought out the Emperor Khaless and laid the heads of her enemies at his feet. He had granted her the Honour that she had so long ago been denied by introducing her to one of the leaders of the Great house of H’csaB. She was adopted into the house and soon had command of her own Battle cruiser. She won many outrageous victories for the empire and soon gained the reputation of being a cunning and fearless warrior.

After she staged a rescue attempt of some Federation citizens that were being held in a Breen prison the Chancellor approached her with an opportunity to be one of the first to help develop a Klingon/Federation ship. She consulted H'csaB, the leader of the house, and found that he had financed most of the construction. The ship was hers if she wanted it. She was sent to the Burwilla Sector to meet with the Federation supplier and oversee the construction of the ship. It has been a year and a half in construction and is now ready for its first taste of combat.
